See How Your Coach Thinks

Behind the Response
When your coach responds, there's a lot happening underneath. It's considering your history, weighing different approaches, noticing patterns, and choosing what to say.
Now you can see that process.
What You'll See
When the coach is thinking through a response, a panel shows you: What aspects of your situation it's considering What frameworks or approaches it's drawing from How it's connecting your current question to past conversations Why it chose to respond the way it did
How to Access It
During a session: Look for the thinking indicator while the coach is responding. You can expand it to see the full reasoning process.
In settings: You can control how much reasoning you see. Some people want the full view; others prefer just the response. Find what works for you.
Why This Matters
Trust through transparency When you see how the coach arrives at a suggestion, you can evaluate it better. "Oh, it's using that framework because of what I said about perfectionism" is more useful than "here's some advice."
Learning how to think Over time, watching how the coach reasons can teach you new ways to think about your own challenges. It's like having a mentor who thinks out loud.
Knowing when to disagree Sometimes you'll see the reasoning and think "wait, that's not quite right about my situation." Good. Now you can correct course together.
Example
You ask: "Should I have this hard conversation with my coworker?"
You might see the coach thinking: Noticing this connects to your goal about speaking up more Considering what you've shared about this relationship Weighing direct vs. gradual approaches based on your style Choosing to ask a clarifying question before giving advice
Then the response comes, and you understand *why* it landed there.
Adjusting the Experience
In your settings, you can: Show full reasoning — see everything the coach considers Show summaries — just the key points Minimize — focus only on the conversation itself
There's no right answer. Some sessions benefit from seeing the process; others feel better with just the dialogue.
A Note on Imperfection
Seeing the reasoning also means seeing when it's incomplete. The coach doesn't have perfect information about you. When you notice something off, say so. That's how the relationship improves.
