We've shipped something we're genuinely excited about: you can now see how the AI thinks through your questions before responding.

What's New

When you use a "thinking depth" model in IX Coach, you'll see a collapsible "Thought for X seconds" panel that shows the AI's reasoning process. This isn't a gimmick—it's the actual chain of thought the model uses to craft your response.

Why We Built This

Coaching is deeply personal. When you share something vulnerable or ask for guidance on a complex situation, you want to know your coach is actually engaging with what you said—not just pattern-matching keywords.

The thinking panel shows you: How the AI interprets your situation - see it break down what you're really asking The connections it makes - watch it relate your current concern to things you've mentioned before The reasoning behind its approach - understand why it's suggesting what it's suggesting

How to Use It

Select a thinking model - Choose "AI Model → Thinking Depth" from the model selector Ask your question - The thinking panel will appear as the AI works through its response Expand or collapse - Click to see the full reasoning, or minimize it if you prefer Hide if you want - Click X to hide the thinking panel entirely for that message

The thinking time is preserved even after you close the browser. Come back later and you'll still see "Thought for 12 seconds" exactly as it was.

Thinking is available on models that support extended reasoning The duration shown is the actual time spent thinking, not an estimate Thinking content is streamed in real-time as it happens All thinking data persists with your conversation history
